Metronomes & Rhythms
This sections features a variety of metronomes and percussion loops for use during instrument practice. Having a guide track that is synchronized to a certain tempo can be a powerful tool when learning an instrument. It can help improve playing by assuring the student adheres to note value durations. It often requires planning ahead: to stay on beat, it's crucial to anticipate what is on the horizon.
Sometimes the monotonous "tick-tick-tick" of a metronome can grow tiresome. So, the goal here is to add a variety of sounds in order to make practicing more fun. As I add more sounds over time, there should be everything from basic hi-hats to full-on funky drum loops. Explore and enjoy!
Waltz Time Syncopation (3/4 Beat)
Here's a fun beat for playing in 3/4 waltz time. There is a lot of syncopation in this one. Not every drum part is hitting on the strong beat. Have fun grooving along with it! The tempo is 135 BPM. Track 2 is an example of a composition made using this drum beat.
